Everyone will go nuts for these, even if you omit the nuts! I prefer Black Walnuts in nearly any cookie that I make, but as I was working on this book, I realized that I didn’t have a picture for this recipe. I stopped to make a batch and then realized that I was out of already cracked black walnuts and didn’t want to take the time to crack and chop them, so I used chopped pecans instead. I didn’t even take the time to toast them (which I do for nearly any recipe and nut) because I had developed a craving for these by just thinking about them! This recipe will make two dozen or so, depending on how big you make them. These were a heaping tablespoon each. Made 50.
